Home, - Tools for practice management

Introduction

In the assignment, there is a brief discussion on the tools for the development of practice in relation to the issues I have experienced in Cobar Hospital. Cobar hospital is  a micro level hospital situated in Belagoy street cobra and provides various services such as parenting, caring, aged homes, pregnancy and general healthy check up (Rotter, et. al., 2017). In the assignment, there is  a brief discussion about the issues existing in a healthcare such as in Cobar Hospital and in relation to the issues some recommendations have been made in the assignment and with the help of the solution, motivation can be done in terms of quality giving by the company to its customers. In addition, there is a brief discussion on the Practice management tools and is depiction in detail in the assignment (Hall, et. al., 2018). There are various issues which are prevailing in the organization such as quality of the services to the patients, less staff, overload of the work, poor salary to the staff members and it discourage the employees belonging to an organization and some other issues which are depicted in detail in the assignment.

Demonstration of the tool will be achieved by applying it to an issue you are currently experiencing or have previously experienced in healthcare. Perhaps, there is an issue that you want to find a solution to or you would like to motivate your team members to work with you to improve some aspect of the care you give.

The main issue which is existing in the organization i.e. in Cobar Hospital are poor salary, work overload, limited access to technology and not effective accommodation services for the patients. The organization is delivering various services to its clients such as many services like pregnancy services, general treatment services, parenting services, caring services and aged homes (Gagnon, et. al., 2018). The salary of the employees working there is very low as compared to the work load. The low wages or salary decreases the morale of the employees and the zeal to work for the organization. The organization should understand and also enhance the salary as per the performance of the employees or on the basis of any other criteria.

There are some other issues as well such as limited access to the technology, in relation to the issue, the organization is not using latest technology for the treatment and maintaining registers and some manual things are required to be done by the employees of the organization which leads to work load for the organization (Galvin, et. al., 2018). There are also ineffective accommodation services provided to the patients such as clients who are living in aged homes and for parenting. They are not getting that much quality services against the amount paid by the patients.

The tool which is determined and in accordance to tool, the solution of the problem can be made. The tool is SMART tool and with the help of the tool, this problem can be treated as according to SMART objecti9ve and the action plan some incentives and performance indicators are implemented in order to enhance the quality of the services delivered by the employees of the health care organization (Bellamy, et. al., 2017). The solution to the issues are made by implementing some performance indicators in the organization for the employees and also some incentives plan and on the basis of which salary of the employees can be enhanced and it will directly enhance the motivation and the quality of the work of the employees and also the services delivered by them to the customers.

Students will develop an action plan. The action plan will explain the short and long-term goals for the implementation of the project and should demonstrate an understanding of SMART goals. It must be consistent with Practice Development Principle number 9 by clearly demonstrating CIP (Collaborative, Inclusive, and Participatory) principles and Person-Centered Care.

Practice development Principle: This is a system of thinkers that keep an eye on the impact of innovation and also reveal what will be value for sustainable change. Practice development is good way which brings a light in life of patient or user of services that it provides good improvement trough many research of social and these are influenced by local factors in organization. There are many theories, methodologies and approaches (Galvin, et. al., 2018).

Person centered care: It is basically the manner of the thinking and then doing things which sees that the individuals are using the social and the health care services as equal partners in relation to the planning, development and monitoring the care for meeting the needs and wants of the individuals (Chen, et. al., 2018). This involves the consideration of the needs of the individuals and their families on priority and making decisions as per their needs.

Principles of CIP

The principles of the CIP are determined as under:

? Participatory: The participatory principle determines the participation of the individual in the fulfillment of the goals set by the organization. Non-participation of those individuals will not lead to the attainment of the objective and for that purpose they have to participate (Galvin, et. al., 2018).

SMART GOALS:

The SMART goals are depicted as under:

? Specific: The goal is to deliver effective services by motivating the employees to do the same and for the some performance criteria is also required to be made and accordingly salary is required to be enhanced.

? Measurable: the goal can be accomplished by comparing the performance of the employees and the feedback which can be received from the customers against the quality of services delivered to them (Bellamy, et. al., 2017).

? Achievable: The objective can be easily achieved because the employees who are working in any organization work for the salary and if they are getting good incentives or hike in the salaries, a competitive environment can be created and services can be improved.

? Relevant: The goal is reasonable, realistic and also result basis and with the help of some indicators performance of the employees who are working for the healthcare can e easily enhanced ad it is resourced (Carr, et. al., 2017).

? Time-frame: The time required is 4-5 weeks in order to enhance the quality of the services delivered by the employees of the health care. The changes can be seen after implementation of the plan or after 5 weeks and it is totally realistic and based on reality. The improvement in the services can be seen in the performance (Galvin, et. al., 2018).
