It furthermore is critical in establishing the methods used by these authors in contradicting the rationale of leaving major decisions concerning student instruction to the teachers of these students. There are certain concepts concerning Common Core Instruction, which are often portrayed in professional educational development materials.

These policies are often aimed at sensitizing those involve in child education concerning the application of Common Core Instruction in the English and Language Arts. Improving narrative writing will, therefore, the use of reading, writing, and speaking mechanisms, which are based on evidence from literary texts. CCSS proponents believe that it is necessary to encourage students to interact with the compound text. Coleman believes that in class reading should involve complex text, especially at grade level. The teachers should also require close reading strategy and practically engage students in these processes. It will also be necessary to use grade level texts, which are combined with teacher support, but gradually allow independent reading.

Narrative writing should serve as an opportunity for the students to perform the critical reading of the texts, and the use of literature in English classes will allow interpretation and reading of texts. Another major consideration in English teaching practices will involve reviewing the language in the CCSSand ensure that there are clear instructional recommendations that are given (Hodge&Benko, 2014).Teachers should always consider the characteristics of the students when designating reader/task responsibilities, and students should be assigned texts within the appropriate grade level to ensure that text complexity can be tackled. Grade Band considerations mean that students in a particular class should be given reading texts, which are within their level.
