Answer - Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory

This theory possesses five important stages that are crucial in maintaining self-motivation within oneself. The care settings and improvement of the quality management are both related to this theory of motivation. In a care setting it is necessary to look after the needs of the team members to support their work and keep the motivation level up as well (?tefan et al. 2020). Through this theory, it can be effectively applied in the care settings as well. According to this theory, there are five stages of motivation that demand to address the needs of a caregiver related to the needs and motivation in the workplace. These are namely, psychological needs, safety needs, love and belonging, esteem and lastly the self-actualization. On the contrary, using this method the care setting can judge the development of the caregivers as well as the care give techniques. The safety of the patient and the ability of the patient to communicate with the doctors and caregivers in case of any problems can be evaluated through this model.

Vroom's expectancy theory

This theory possesses three main stages that are valence, expectancy and instrumentality. The emotional orientation of the caregivers can be addressed through the first stage of this theory. The needs and wants of the caregivers and healthcare professionals are crucial in this phase of the theory (Refer to Appendix 2). It is evident that during the work the team members also expect some benefits that are beneficial for their future (Lloyd and Mertens, 2018). On the contrary, it is the duty of the care setting to provide that so that the team members get motivated and the improvement of the caregiving techniques and methods can be equally developed under their supervision. The role and support of the management, as well as the hierarchy, is expected through the last stage of the instrumentality of this theory that is essential for the caregivers continuous quality improvement and management.

Fishbone Theory

In this theory, a fish structure is portrayed that can explain the entire process of working. In the case of care setting, patient activities, nursing team, differences of schedule and best practices can be used to make a prominent impression of the caregiving method (Refer to Appendix 3). However, all of these steps target the only thing that is the comfort of the patient (Vordenberg et al. 2018). The fishbone theory arranges the essential features and factors essential for continuous quality improvement in a care setting. On one hand, it stresses the root causes of a problem related to a patient. On the other hand, it makes a prominent amalgamation of the process steps that lead to the benefit of the patient as well. It has to be mentioned that the benefit of using this theory is that it helps to identify the loopholes in the care setting and its limitations or challenges as well.

PDSA Model

PDSA model is the acronym of Plan, Do, Study, Act model that makes the planning, execution and implementation of new rules in a care setting. It is very beneficial and appropriate for a care setting. It has already been identified that in a care setting the well-being of a patient is very important. The health care professionals and nurses always take care of this matter that they provide utmost priority to the health of the patient. This four-step theory and practice make it easy to determine and execute the planned method (Luo et al. 2018). Firstly the condition of a patient is recognized and according to the complexity, a plan is made. After that primary test of the plan is done by applying the plan to the patient very shortly. Then the analysis of the test and its result is done prominently to make sure that the plan and the execution are perfect according to the needs of the patient. Lastly, the necessary changes are made according to the result and analysis of the act. It further leads to the process of continuous improvement in the quality management that is important to the care setting (Coccia, 2018). According to the care setting these roles are very crucial to execute the most complex job of offering care to a patient. Hence, following these roles in a systematic way can develop and help to evolve in the care setting and keep the improvements continue as well.
